Naseby Swimming Dam (left) is one of the most popular spots for swimming in Maniototo but if you’re looking for more natural spots, the Kyeburn and Sowburn Rivers provide sparkling swimming holes for cooling off. The meandering Taieri River is perfect for a Kayak … maybe even take the fishing rod!
Mountain bikes are required on the Rail Trail, however because it was once a railway line, the gradient is not too challenging. For the more adventurous, the Naseby Forests many biking tracks are open to the general public. Bike along the historical water race through the forest.
