the Otago Central Rail Trail (click here for more information), which can be walked, mountain biked or ridden on horseback, are the main
recreational activities in the area. The heritage from the goldfields days such as cemeteries, old gold workings and the Early Settlers Museum provide the history conscious with plenty to explore.
For the golfing addict, a choice of four 9 hole golf courses means you could play all four in one day and still have time for dinner!
