The Maniototo Bards, Ballads & Bulldust Festival

May 16th and 17th 2015 – FREE EVENT!

Celebrate a very beautiful and historic area in New Zealand at the Maniototo Bards, Ballads & Bulldust Festival.  Bards, Ballads & Bulldust is the chance to step back in time in quaint establishments around the Maniototo and enjoy performances by artists from all around NZ.  Make the most of the colder weather in front of a roaring fire, sipping a delicious Central Otago Pinot Noir, listening to tales and songs of days gone by.

A variety of musicians, poets, balladeers and story tellers will rotate around the Waipiata Country Hotel, Ancient Briton and Oturehua Railway Hotels over two days.  You can create a pub crawl following different performers or choose to stay at one establishment and wait for the entertainment to come to you!  Celebrate the spoken word, the deep history of high country farming, goldmining and New Zealand music in one of the most stunning valleys in the world – the Maniototo.  All performances are free of charge!
